Now, writers are egoists. All artists are. They can't be altruists and get their work done. And writers love to whine about the solitude of the Author's Life, and lock themselves into cork-lined rooms or droop around in bars in order to whine better.

Silvertide. One of the better new bands I've heard in a long time. They sound somewhat like a mix between Black Crowes (because of the singer) & Tesla.........but with there own style.

Just good old rock n roll. Check them out. The album is called "Show & Tell".

              +1 for Drive-By Truckers

Marah is another favorite of mine, both are great in concert.

I have one of The Burning Brides albums, i forget what it was called, but the cd has a orange swirl on it. I really liked hem at first, but after a week the album was pretty much done for. Some decent riffs and some basic rock n roll in there. Fun stuff for a while.

I saw a docu on icelandic bands but don't remember the names

Here's some Icelandic band names see if you recognise any of them:

                    Gus Gus: Electronica
Minus: Sort of melodic hardcore (pretty good too)
Brain Police: Heavy Stoner rock (splendid stuff)
                    Leaves: indie rock

Brad Paisley!!!! If you don't like country vocals then he has some killer instrumentals you might like to hear.

I saw a show of theirs a few years ago, and it was such a cool show to be at.
