Too many great songs to single out, but Fair warning and the originals off Diver Down were some of my favs.

Actually VH 11 was completely awesome......the entire album !

Girl gone bad and House of Pain is awesome off 84.

I love the off the wall solo playing on songs like DOA and Mean Streets. Eddie is just amazing even though his playing became predictable and tone went to crap during the Sammy years.

I don't usually see my 2 in the popular Van Halen songs list:-

      'Somebody Get Me a Doctor'
      'When It's Love'

Love the riff and just the overall playing on the former and for the latter, again an awesome riff in the verses and a really nice chorus. Love the "Nah nah nah nah nah" part too.

That's a great list. Girl Gone Bad and House of Pain are two of the more underrated VH tunes, but I thought they were the best two songs on 1984.

How bout Drop Dead Legs. I've allways liked the riff and guitar solo at the end of that one.

I'm not really into Van Halen, but I really like Panama.
One day back in 1953, I married a stapler. That didn't last very long though, because I realized that your face was shaped like a door. Later in 1982, I decided buy a bed, which I stored in a shed.

                    Gear:
ESP LTD MH-400/Fender Highway 1 Fat Strat -> Dunlop Crybaby Wah -> Boss Metalzone -> Peavey Classic 30

...and an A&L Acoustic of some sort.

I don''t know if anyone has heard Big Trouble from VH (pre-1977). I'd put that up as my favorite. It's got an awesome solo, kinda like "somebody give me a doctor"...It changes key several times and just sounds so raw.

Ya, that one is pretty good. I also really like "Angel" --- that was pre Van Halen I. I have a great bootleg from a Pasedena show in 1977 that kicks incredible ass. Eddie went way downhill after those early days, IMO

I have never heard that, or any pre VH1 stuff.

                            Where did you find it?

I couldn't pick, there are too many good ones. Basically all the Roth stuff is great, some moments with Hagar.

Roth--Panama, Drop Dead Legs (great driving songs), Runnin with the Devil (love that slightly weird scream Roth used to do on the first 2 albums)

                                Hagar--When It's Love
