I don't know if it's "Top 10" worthy, but when Foo Fighters did a cover of "Baker Street" I thought "Damn... I forgot how good that song was... but I realized that they updated it so it Rocks as much as the original version did years ago.

"Hurt" by Johnny Cash is one of the best cover tunes ever.

Besides taking on a song that seems so different from his own comfort zone, Cash transformed the song into a poignant, personal reflection.

Gives me chills every time I hear it.

The most succsessful, barnburning covers I've ever done include:

            Wish/Closer - NIN
Killing in the Name of - RATM
Devil Went Down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels
Shook me all Night Long - AC/DC
            Metal Health - Quiet Riot
            Sweet Child o' Mine -GNR

AND NO 1 with a bullet.....

Fight For Your Right (to party)- Beastie Boys

The common thread seems to be a straight ahead groove, and lyrics built for audience participation.

Granted, these were performed by my club-rock-band(s) in front of an actual audience, instead of daydreamed in my bedroom for coolness factor, so your lists may vary.

Oh, you mean since I have a life and don't send hours in this forum for days at a time like you then I my opinion doesn't count? This forum is just your stop between chat rooms and porn websites.

You obviously don't have a clue about politics. The majority never sets the agenda and pushes for laws to be passed. Minorites (not necessarily racial) always set policy in US politics.

And by the way "Spiderman!" seems a little cheesy for a username doesn't it? The mean the "!" seems just a tad stupid don't you think?

And BTW, your list blows donkeynuts.
