  • Who has better bands: US or UK

I was wondering who you guys thought had better bands: USA or UK. I think it depends on a persons taste. I think the US has had better bands, although I love UK groups just as much. Heres a start. I think most of these are correct but I am not sure about all of them.

    USA:

    Guns N Roses
    Van Halen
    Metallica
    Aerosmith
    Jimi Hendrix
    Stevie Ray Vaughn
    Ted Nugent
    BLS/Zakk Wylde
    George Lynch
    KISS
    Aliced Cooper
    Queen
    Bad Company
    Johnny Cash
    B.B. King
    Boston
    CCR
    Skid Row
    Motley Crue
    Bon Jovi

    UK:

    Led Zeppelin
    Black Sabbath
    Cream
    Ozzy Osbourne
    The Beatles
    Def Leppard

Feel free to add your thoughts. Im not trying to slam anybody, this was just a random though I had

Your right- it's all subjective depends what you want

all music is good - apart from the **************** stuff obviously !

My Stuff: A guitar, some other guitars, an amp or two and various other coloured boxes and stuff. Oh and some leads..... and strings.

Although Hendrix was an american, he made it big in the UK first. Kind of a toss up there.

Also, you forgot the Beatles(UK), Bob Dylan(US), The Byrds(UK, i think), and the Kinks (UK).

Just for forgetting the Beatles and Dylan you should be banned

Nah, rock flies right through paper.

The point was not to mention every popular band in the US or UK, just the ones that had an influence on me. I wanted everybody else to add to the list with bands that they like.

I think you missed a couple of UK bands:

                        Rolling Stones
                        The Who
                        Deep Purple
                        The Clash
                        The Police
                        U2

I think they're about even. It's more impressive that the UK has produced so many great rock bands, though, given their smaller size. That's like if each and every one of our good rock bands came from California and New York.
