  • Goo Goo Dolls... who are fans?

I never see this band's name come up here and they are one of my favorites. Johnny Rzeznik's writing really hits home with me a lot of the time. I really love the alternative pop/rock genre and I think they write some near-perfect pop songs. Although, I'm not a fan of Robby Takac at all.

I have all their albums from Jed to Gutterflower, and am obtaining their live album.

Favorite song is easily "Black Balloon," really moving words with passionate vocals.

I think they're not bad & don't turn the channel when they come on the radio. A guilty pleasure if you will, but I don't own any of their albums or anything.

I liked Boy Named Goo. Before everyone and their mom's mom and the local country station drilled them into the ground. It's like when my wife wanted to know more about that country group Bon Jovi. I just had to roll my eyes...they've come along way since 7800F Minor hijack.

Is it, or is it not true they were on Metalblade at one point?

I'm a fan of their older stuff (Hold Me UP/Superstar Car Wash/A Boy Named Goo). Dizzy and Gutterflower are okay too, but man, their latest album is terrible. A soccer mom's dream come true.

They were a bit different back then.

Late 80's Goo. Drunk, drugged out, and getting into fights with the audience:

            Bad example, but funny stuff.

Like them all the way up to Dizzy Up The Girl. A Boy Named Goo to Dizzy were great pop-rock records.

Saw them live last year......the stage was the BIGGEST collection of Gibson guitars I have ever seen in one place!

                            Good solid pop orietned stuff.
