  • "VH1's 40 Most Softsational Soft-Rock Songs" countdown

The list isn't perfect, but it's nice to see this kind of music get some props. What do you guys think? Here is is:

Some of the songs are more "pop", than "soft rock", imo, but that's kind of a gray area anyway, I guess....

    40. Bertie Higgins - "Key Largo"
    39. David Soul - "Don

VH 1 has never got anything right, and they prove it again.
+1 to whoever said "Miracles " by Jefferson Starship.

    What do you mean?

It's a pretty cool song, I think...and the guitar playing is nice on it.

I heard the record. I didn't know smooth music could RAWK. SO HARD. I'm so sorry. I'm ready for the '80s... and I've got some ideas.

    "IloveitIloveitIloveit!! Its so smoooth"

"Oh yeah! That's my chakra! Oh, that's different! Oh, that's weird!!!"

    "Stay smooth, Steve!"

A genre of music I have always found intensely boring. However, I think it's a shame that #36 10cc's "I'm Not In Love" is on the same list with the rest of them - it's a much better crafted song than many others there. Similarly #33 Cat Stevens' "Peace Train."

Didn't Dusty Springfield have a bigger hit with Angel Of The Morning than Juice Newton did ?

    My thoughts exactly.....

... I'm reading down the list thinking "I would kill myself before this playlist would be half way over..."

Actually... I feel sorry for Frampton being included in that drivel.... ****************... the Orleans??? That's a great song!!! Get it off that list!!!!!!!!!

That's like a "The Best of Yacht Rock" list right there. I knew I wouldn't be the only one to make the connection

Weird...I sat and watched all of them one night a while back, but didn't remember Drew Carey being there....

I knew about the 10...that got me to hoping there were more, for a minute.

I guess it's the same difference, if I don't remember them anyway.

I need to see some of them in the middle...too good not to watch...
