  • Have you mowed your lawn yet?

I must say I was the first in my hood to crank that bad boy up. Discuss.

    I don't have a lawn.

I do, however, have 800 square feet of concrete patio to rake leaves off of and to de-mossify, which is going to be a big pain in the ass. However the weather is still too gross to even consider this yet.

No snow on it, but squashed down and soggy.

I'd love to have less grass. A front lawn is an exercise in pointlessness. I have some of this sort of juniper:

        Too bad it doesn't spread.

Rip it out and plant a veggie garden.

            That is a sizable patio.

I live in an apartment, but I did ride my bike on Saturday for the first time this year. Does that count as springy?

We have a ground level unit that takes up the whole corner of an "L"-shaped building, with the entrance inside crook of the "L" and patio out back, if that makes sense. So just due to the geometry of it all, we have about as much patio space as like five regular units. It's awesome- we've got a 4-chair patio table with umbrella, a grill, three storage sheds, room to grow flowers and veggies, and still have space we havne't used. The patio is why we HAD to get this apartment. It's also (aside from the units above us overlooking it) totally walled-in and private.

Unfortunately it hasn't been used in half a year.

One more thing: for me, the best part of Spring is Spring skiing. Still have a month more of that.

It needs to be cut where the dog does his outside business. The grass is 6" tall in those areas.

My 12 year old son gets to cut the grass this year.

                          Never stopped mowing it.

Well, not me personally. I hire immigrants for that.

I live in a wooded area, so I kind of wish I had a lawn to mow; I've got to pick up sticks & twigs, blow leaves, put down fresh mulch. By the time I get all that done, it'll be fall again.
Let that boy boogie woogie. It in him, an' it got to come out.
