You couldn't finish watching Until The Light Takes Us, as I recall. You need to examine your own commitment to Metal.

You have me confused with that Uma "I only like two kinds of music" guy. I saw it and enjoy crazy ass white people.

          Sounds about right.

Most people here are boring adults with day jobs, whereas metal is music for somewhat socially awkward teenagers, so that migh the root of the problem.

This place is mostly guys who wear shorts in the winter and play guitar every once a while with a handful of exceptions. I've never been into metal as fashion or as a refuge from mainstream people. To me it's about badass extroverted guitar playing where the guitar solos are loud and distorted. Regardless of what you wear, you either can play "Mr. Crowley" or you can't. That's more metal to me than some nordic clown in make up and studs who plays ****************ty guitar.

I like metal. It's not the top of my genre listening list but I do enjoy it.

I am reminded of the folks at Banjo Hangout who think that banjo automatically (and exclusively) means Bluegrass.

I fully admit I do not, and never have liked metal. I have no problem with that, nor with those who like it. Guitar can be used for other music as well. Oddly, most of the people I see wearing shorts in winter are also wearing t-shirts advertising metal bands.
