  • Have you ever worn a mustache?

How was that experience for you? Tell us about it.

I had a bit of a beard going that last night I decided to shave. It occurred to me I'd never once had a mustache, so I shaved everything but the 'stache. (and of course had to walkout and chat deadpan with Mrs Squid until she noticed)

It made me feel a little silly but shaving it off a few minutes later made me a bit sad. I sort of liked it, in a weird way. I felt very "1910"-ish.

Yeah. Like all male Chicagoans, I've had a 'stache before. I naturally grow a pretty porny/Ditka-y stache. It's not my favorite thing, but I can't be sure I won't do it again.

I had a mustache briefly in the 80's. I shaved off a beard I kept for 3 years but kept the 'stache. I ended up shaving it of in about a week. I just don't like the look on myself.

I've only ever worn one with full beard or goatee.

I did leave a handlebar one time after shaving off a beard, but it only lasted about 15 minutes as Mrs. Walt and Walt Jr. informed me that I looked awful.

Most of the time since '05 or so.

My beard and stache are light-colored though, so nobody knows about it except me.

Never have. I'd look pretty awful.

one winter, i spent 4 weeks working a job in the middle of nowhere in west virginia. i never shaved (anything to trap warmth became useful) and came home a furry mess. my wife sent me straight into the shower to clean up and shave. i left the stache and refused to shave it all afternoon. she nearly cried at one point. hahaha. it looked terrible

I had one for a few months over the summer.

Never a mustache alone. I don't think it would be a good look for me.

My wife didn't like it either. I got a side job working security at German themed Christmas Fest downtown for the past month and before it started I shaved it into a Hitler stache, walked into her office and asked if it would be inappropriate.

                          Never without a beard.

I feel people are more approachable to me whenever I rock a beard... As if i'm now this subconscious effigy of a father-figure or role-model.
