  • PSA: Get Adobe CS2 for free (maybe)

Adobe is now giving away CS 2. You get:

    Acrobat Pro 8.0

    Adobe Photoshop CS2

    Adobe InDesign

    Adobe GoLive

    Adobe Illustrator

    Adobe Audition 3.0 (PC ONLY)

Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 (PC ONLY)

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 4/5

    Here's the link: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitl...=cs2_downloads

Why the "maybe" in the subject? I've been trying for the last couple of hours, and all I get is a "page unavailable". I *hope* this is just because of the rush of people, but maybe Adobe has changed their mind.

Yes, I know this software is ancient in internet years, but PhotoShop CS2 is still a pretty incredible photo editor, and the price is certainly right (compared to $600 for the latest CS6).

EDIT: Just found a site that has direct download links and serial numbers: http://noelchenier.blogspot.ca/2013/...-for-free.html

EDIT #2: I've been reading posts from all sorts of people who are installing this. One common problem is that if you are on a 64 bit version of Windows, the Adobe installer does not like the default install location of c:Program Files (x86). You'll have to install to another folder (like C:Adobe).

Okay, so I just downloaded and installed Photoshop CS2 without a hitch. What's the catch then?

The catch is that you apparently don't have a legal version.

You are welcome, but as rsadasiv points out above, this was not meant to be a free CS2 giveaway, but rather a replacement for people who already own legit copies.

                      Damn, that's a giveaway and a half.

It's a long time since I've used it but from memory I reckon Photoshop CS2 must have 90-odd percent of the functionality of the current iteration.
                      Fast, clean and cheap.
