  • Tell me about entertaining 70s disaster movies

Like The Poseidon Adventure or The Towering Inferno.

Or even less over-the-top ones like The Andromeda Strain- which isn't exaclty one but it's a near-disaster movie...

Some some reason I'm really in the mood for disaster movies, but especially 70's era ones...

What do you suggest? Extra points if it is streaming on Netflix.

You like bad movies, so that's a gold mine.

Just check "70s" section in the Wiki article on disaster films.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaster_film#1970s

They also provide a helpfully categorized list:

I'm still trying to find a photo of Cynthia Myers as Cerwin-Vega's "Miss Earthquake".

Well, a 70's disaster movie would come over. "May I take your coat," I'd ask, or "Would you like a drink?"

Then we'd have a wonderful meal and watch whatever was on TV because we didn't have VCR's in those days. But conversation had to be lively, becasue 70's disaster movies get bored.

And that how we entertained 70's disaster movies.

I would suggest instead The Devil's Rain from the 70s
it's a supernatural disaster movie that's even worse than a regular 70s disaster movie
