I didn't copy the link... but it may have been Wiki.
I hadn't heard it in a couple of years; worked on playing it last night. The riff is killer!
Reb Beach is a ****************ing monster! The solo is amazing... Great band.

Well, it did feature arguably "prog" drummer Rod Morgenstein slummin' it for $$.

    But no.

It certainly contained some "proggy" elements. It's a rather technical song, and the breakdown at the end of the solo section is pretty wacky.

      But no.

I am from the Beavis and Butthead generation... I admit I wrote Winger off.  A year or two ago I saw Kip Winger on some PBS show that also featured Susan Tedeschi and some piano player.  Winger was just playing an acoustic guitar and sang a couple songs, including "Seventeen".  It was actually pretty cool.  Then I ran into some Rob Beech lesson type stuff on youtube and the guy can definitely play.

Winger definitely got a bad rap due to Stuart on Beavis and Butthead and the dart scene in the "Nothing Else Matters" video.  Most of my friends probably think it's lame, but I'd probably rather listen to Rob Beech play guitar than Kirk Hammett.

Bunches of great players got swept under the carpet because of mass lumping by hipsters, first position strummers, and cartoon characters.  You can hear a lot of prog influence in Winger.  Particularly on this.

I think he meant to say...a Pedo tune. How old was he when he sang...

    And just when I thought
She was coming to my door
    She whispered sweet
And brought me to the floor
    She said

    Chorus:
    I'm only seventeen
I'll show you love like you've never seen
    She's only seventeen
    Daddy says she's too young
But she's old enough for me

Drummer seems to be still enjoying "slumming," at least up to 2007.

"She's only thirty-fiiiiiiiiive..." Love that update.
