    1959 Gretsch White Falcon

he one owner of this beautiful "Golden Years" Gretsch, a true working musician, played the scene in and around Indianapolis for decades. Everyone loved seeing this guitar on stage...a little too much. The owner was scared someone would try to steal it, so he purchased a 1962 Country Gentleman (sold) as his main guitar and put this White Falcon away in a safe place.

We are sure glad he did.

While in hand, Gretsch Representative and private collector Ron Mancuso described this White Falcon as "dead mint".

This is a true, all original 1959 White Falcon. There is no finish checking anywhere on the guitar. This guitar has not been refinished. The face of the headstock has yellowed slightly but the rest of the guitar is bright white. The gold hardware has not been replated. Only the back of the tuners show minimal loss of gold plating.  The playability of this guitar is excellent. There is little to no wear on the original frets and the neck is perfectly adjustable. The pickups are very strong and all pots and input jack are working just as they should.

Please contact for a private showing, an in-hand description or with questions.

      Love the guitar.

Pristine/original/gorgeous late 50s White Falcon?  I can't believe it's not double that price.

    1) It's ok.  A little over the top for my taste.

    2) Maybe to a collector.

"Worth it?" If you've got $$ to burn? Sure, why not? If you've lost your house in foreclosure as a result of being out of work for a couple years? Probably not. As to "Do you like it?" How could any real player (who's got some yrs under his belt) NOT like it?

        It's gaudy and pretentious

I like it as an object, but I would rather opt for a Silver Falcon if someone gave me carte blanche to choose a Gretsch.

      Spoiler

I like it. It's not worth anything close to that much.
