  • Stuff what I done. (WARNING: contains music)

I done some stuff with my band yesterday. Here's a new song we recorded in the practice room on a Zoom R16, we stuck a mic in front of my amp and another in front of one of the PA speakers and used the 2 built-in condenser mics for the drums.

    Excuses first:

    • This was the second time we've played together in 8 years
    • There is no bass player
    • Jonesy was making up the lyrics/vocal melody as he went along
    • Jimbo hadn't played on a real drumkit in at least a year
    • I was on a massive LSD comedown

Now slag it off, you know you want to:

I like it. Three Sixes. Is it a song about Yahtzee?

Three Sixes - I just thought it sounded "cool".

What's with all the disclaimers?  I dug this, and I'm impressed with the audio quality.  Sounds like a great live jam session to me.

      Great stuff.

I loved the guitar riff and guitar tone. I like the feel and sound of the backing section.

It sounded like you channeled Budgie but with a post-pubescent singer.

      Good show ol' chap.

    Loved it!

Excellent tone on guitar. Good beat and feel.

Put in some more work and finish it.

      Cheers fellas!

The first verse is in 7/8 time I think. There's 7 beats in it anyway. Then it goes into 4/4 for the rest of it, or maybe 8/8. Is 4/4 and 8/8 time the same thing?
