It's great that you're feeling better and that you got a good night's sleep but what does back pain have to do with your life ''coming to a head''? That expression usually means something like ''to reach a critical or crucial stage.'' How has your life reached a crucial stage because of your back pain? What does any of that have to do with needing to eat?

Moar sex even if you gotta do it yourself, and wear your Paul around your knees where the leverage on your back is a ton easier than up chestward. And chiropractors. They got teh stretches and back cracking those self fulfilling kinks. Look up lower back care on a reputable medical site you might find useful moves.

Play sitting down as much as you can... it's much easier on the back.

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

I locked up my back years ago and ended up in PT. The X Ray showed bone on bone locking. The PT folks were great.

I was also working out and the PT doc said that it was all fine and dandy I was working out, but I was not strengthening and stretching the muscles that keep my back aligned.

The first 3 weeks were extremely difficult and painful. The routine I did was about 30 minutes, 3 times a day.

If I sit at my computer too long, like yesterday, I will go through some of the exercises in my office.

There was no fancy equipment needed. I started of of the floor, on my stomach and did stuff like this

        hip openners

        these things

Them I go over to my stairs and do leg stretches, on each leg

Then to I do the back stretch in a chair.
        Kinda like the second row

        This was added in PT

Looks easy, but when you're hurt, it's not so easy.

I did some yoga ball stuff.

Like I said 3 weeks of hell. 3 sets of 4-5, three times a day.

Did I mention my PT doctor was a Norwegian babe, fresh out of med school. I spent 6 weeks , 2 times a week going to see her. Never missed a session.

One of the most unnatural things you can do is sit a a desk all day. Whether you are playing guitar and recording or typing out stuff. I tell this to the people I work with, but they laugh it off. Not to mention they are way overweight. Your desk is killing you.

Start ff with the stuff in the first pic. hold for 30 seconds and go from there.

Keep moving. Keep changing your seating position where you sit the longest.

              Oh yeah, his aching back.

              Lift with your knees.

Never pivot at the waist while carrying weight - groceries, baby, Les Paul etc...

And most important straight back; shoulders back; all that good posture crap.

Basically i felt miserable because of aches and pains all over. my legs, my knees, my ankles, my heels, feet, etc. but the lower back pain is the worst. but there are ways out of all that as you learn through time. do the right exercises and it goes away, for the moment at least. its a constant struggle.
