  • Crankiest guitarist?

Who in your opinion is/was the crankiest guitarist of all times? Name some incidents to support your claim of who is the crankiest guitarist of all times. Or other type of musician. Drummer, flautist etc. Categorize and sort by each type of musician. Also can be applied to sports figures or other type of celebrity.

      Ritchie Blackmore come to mind.

A brilliant and very successful guitarist with a reputation for being hard to work with and for firing musicians.

Many line up changes that happened in Deep Purple was due to Richie.
The same occurred during his years he had the reigns in Rainbow.
He featured and brought to the World the talents of Ronnie James Dio, Graham Bonnet, Joe Lynn Turner and Cozy Powell.
How many guitarists does it take to screw in a lightbulb ? Five , one to screw it in , hit the switch and four to sit around bragging how much better they could have done it !!!! 😱👹😲

After Blackmore heard Robert Plant, he went out and found Ian Gillan

When he fired Gillan (for the first time), he brought in then unknown David Coverdale.

The singer who he worked with the longest is Candice Knight.

Buddy Rich was a drummer. Crankiest guitarist crown SURELY belongs to DAVE MUSTAINE, no?

Probably been plenty that we've never heard from and never will. Band members killed them.
I was kicked out of music class for passing notes...

I've heard, from a number of studio folks on both coasts over many years, that Joe Pass was 'difficult' to work with.
If Budy Rich was a guitarist, he would definitely win, though
