You raise a good point here. How often do you need to change strings on a piano ?
    Anyone know ?

            When they break.

One never just "changes the strings" on a piano.

I grew up playing a 1923 Steinway. I still see it at my parent's house every couple of weeks, The strings have never been replaced.

I assume the strings keep their freshness as no moisture from fingers ever touches them. Therefore you must have to replace strings on a harp, yes ?

                        "Dust on the strings
we're only Dust on the strings"

I have NEVER had tudust stings on a piano. I think the vibrations throw off the dust.

If you ever want to insult a piano player, tell 'em his strings need dusting!
