I say technically because if the patch isn't written to respond to breath control or after touch, it will be very unresponsive and expressionless compared to a patch that is optimized for breath control/after touch. Not every hardware synth has this capability to respond to breath control or after touch.

Thank you for reply. Short list of breath control enabled synths? Yamahas? Others? My 1st instrument was clarinet, haven't played for about 40+ years

Certainly the older Yamaha FM synths are breath controller friendly. The best source of info and patches that I know of is a place called Patchman music. If you go to his website and check out the wind controller soundbanks, there is a list of synths that they have wind controller friendly patches for. I'm not saying you need to buy their patches (although they are excellent), but it does show which hardware would be compatible. Note that just because a synth is compatible that doesn't mean there will be wind controller friendly patches in it when you buy it. You will likely have to write or buy patches for it to get the most out of it. The EWIUSB does come with some playable/usable software too. So you don't necessarily have to buy everything at once that way.

Patchman's wind controller FAQ is the best source of wind controller info I know of.

If you used to play clarinet, the EWI should be familiar to you. The fingering is like the lower register on a clarinet, although there are several fingering configurations. It even has a trumpet/brass fingering mode.

A story should be just like a good skirt. Long enough to cover the subject but short enough to keep it interesting.

                              • Something I was dicking around around with yesterday.

I think I distorted the vocs, messed up the second guitar in the mix and probably made a bunch of other mistakes too. I'll work on a bit more, but not much more.

No computers, drum machines or stuff like that, all instruments played by me and mic-ed up just like the good old days
