  • How much distortion do you do

I love going there, once while, but I'm clean. El84 clean. I've had a few high end fuzz pedals, but I never use that, now

What is the deal with the Pats against NFC East tesms in the Super Bowl?

When I play with my band I just use a little bit because I end up playing classicrock/bluesrock/country rock stuff. When I'm on my own I'm Captain Crunch and trying to bring back 1978- 1983 style arena rock and early hair metal.
It's not about money or popularity , although some money would be nice.

Since I normally play acoustic, none. I do like some distortion for electric though.

Thought you were about the dirty not to long ago?

I'm gonna bet dollars to doughnut, you can't tell EL84's from 6L6s or EL34's from 6V6's. You would need to push an amp into tube distortion to tell the difference.

My Maz 18 runs EL 84's and my Fender DRRI runs 6V6's, I can EQ the Maz to have as much spank as the the DRRI.

As far as distortion goes, all I use is a Fulltone II.
No more than a modest hard rock 70's rock gain for me.

I don't even run my Mesa amp into that high gain territory. I want the guitar I am playing to be represent. So stuff with classic PAF/ Hummbuckers sounds like just that, Gretsch stuff sound like Gretsch stuff and so on and on. No high gain pick ups for me, no high gain OD boxes and no high gain amps.

Now on to the 2018 Winter Olympics. I'll miss the opening ceremony stuff. I saw enough song and dance numbers with Justin Timberlake last night.

Gimme, the skeleton. the luge, some crazy ski jumping and speed stuff. Oh yeah and who doesn't like to watch hot babes on ice and skimpy 3000 dollar dresses, trying to and triple axel. 24 hours of all night curling. Nothing like a sport you can drink beer while playing.

Would this be the proper thread to open up the distortion vs overdrive vs fuzz definition discussion?

I'm not much of a fuzzy guy, although I have a homemade brew fuzz pedal.

Most Patriots fans are into distortion, especially when their team can't quite win the Big One.
