                  I owned a 100w combo that did much. I have the vintage quad pre amp, that is just amazing w a 100 el34 power amp. My vintage 16 may be my beat bang for the buck through all the years. What a great amp. Look for those, cheap

                    Everytime I hear the word Carvin, I think about those Craig Chaquico (Starship) ads in guitar magazines back in the 80's. I used to play old-time country a few years ago with a guy that owned a recent Carvin P.A.
                    It's not about money or popularity , although some money would be nice.
