                I used to think you absolutely had to have 12s for bass, but I've since played many 10s that sounded great.

                  I have a Gibson Les Paul Jr amp, model GA 5 they call it. It has an 8" speaker that was designed by Weber. It records very well, but I did do a few gigs with it too. All I did to it was drop a JJ Tesla EL 84 power tube in it and it sounds lovely.

                  There's not a huge amount of bottom end to it, but what it does it does well. It's kind of like a Fender Champ in many ways.

                  I bought it new for a song and dance. Great for classic rock.
