  • trumps approval ratings continue to rise

i was recently asked which polls i trust. i maintain that i don't trust any of them.

i know that some of you value polling data.

    you're welcome

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 35% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 42% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -7. (see trends).

Since last week’s State of the Union address, Trump’s approval ratings have been running slightly ahead of where Barack Obama was at this stage of his presidency.

But you post it anyway even though you don't trust it?

    So just trolling now?

Boy, he's still got a long ways to go.
Good luck, Donald. You're going to need it.

It's worth noting that a lot of his approval comes from people who like the fact that he acts like a jackass.
Sick, I know. But you know, whatever gets your rocks off.

George Washington was the man who never told a lie. Richard Nixon was the man who never told the truth. Donald Trump is the man who doesn't know the difference.

Since the OP seems to be so interested in providing polling data for those who are interested, then I'll attempt to assist him to understand it better so he can provide better data in the future:

Rassmussen is what is known as an "outlier". For contrast, one could post the recent Investor's Business Daily poll that has Trump at 35% - 58%.

A better way is to average a lot of these polls out. Real Clear Politics has Trump at 41.8% positive and 53.8% negative when including both these outliers.

For contrast, Obama was at 48.1% positive and 46.4% negative at this same point in his presidency.

            You're welcome.

Awe, let him have his fun. He found a poll he likes and he wants everyone to see it.

Those of us who understand polling do, in fact, value the data polls provide.

Especially when it's correct a week before an election and then a Comey decides to announce to voters that he's going re-open an investigation into the lead candidate. Just what she needed - a "you may go to jail" with no time to counter or prove your innocence.

Talk about sticking a knife into someone's back. That's why Trump liked Comey so much...until Comey realized his boss was actually a dirty booger. These days, it's like a soap opera in DC. Thanks, Trump.

Ah! Do the lefties feel the heat of polling now? Ha!
Thank you President Trump for loving America, you are a GREAT president of the United States.
Thank you OP for posting. Don't pay any attention to the lost. IMO

It continued to be correct up to the day of the election as well.

Most polls had her winning the popular vote by a couple of points. Which she did.

There was nothing at all wrong with the national polling in the last election. This is a myth propagated by those who either don't understand polls or wish to propagandize against polls that run against their personal biases.

Of course, it should not be lost on anyone that degree of glee Trump supporters have to finally find a poll somewhere that STILL has him at under 50% approval.

                      #Winning!!!! lulz

Gotta take those small victories where you can, I suppose.

It's just too bad he loves Russia more than the United States.

We are not lost. We know we are in Putin's playground, with the pussy-grabbing man-child throwing sand into every institution that great men have built over centuries.
It's a pity you are okay with it. George Washington would not be. Immoral authoritarians have no place in the White House...until now.

And mind you, this is under a strong economy, with low unemployment and a skyrocketing Dow.

                          It makes you wonder...
Where would the polls be if the chit hit the fan?
