  • Christie is fired .....

Seems like Fat Boy is no longer Governor of New Jersey.
May be he could be the model for the next Michelin Tire man or just pass his time with his charished cheeseburgers.
Trump is toxic beyond belief, this the second victim of Trump association.

The OP isn't the only one around here with Native American ancestry. Your post was a direct personal attack, with racial stereotypes thrown in.

            See you in two months.

Christie could actually get one last laugh since NJ Senator Bob Menendez is on trial for corruption.
In theory, if convicted and forced to step down, Christie can appoint his replacement, or appoint himself.

Reprehensible as it was, gassing was a conventional and accepted method for execution at the time. It is a stretch to equivocate the two.

Unless he resigned, it would require the Senate to expel him. The Dems could probably filibuster his expulsion until the new governor is seated.

The Senate Republicans SHOULD be understanding of this, since they are so committed to the principle that the voters have decided who they want to pick his replacement and lame-ducks shouldn't make such important appointments.

I think a greater predictor of obesity is poverty, which is where many Native Americans find themselves.

He might resign under pressure, just to prevent that scenario.

From what I'm reading, Menendez is facing 15 years per bribery charge (8 of them).
The Democrats are going to look REALLY bad if he's found guilty and they fight his expulsion.

Pressure from whom? He might resign right away, but there might be more pressure for him to hang on a few weeks. Even if convicted he'll probably appeal the conviction, so unless he's actually sitting in a prison cell...what's a couple of more months?

They can just argue they aren't fighting his expulsion, just making sure that the will of the people is being addressed properly. Clearly the people of New Jersey voted to have Murray make such appointments, not Christie.

Since that was the argument the GOP used for holding up a SCOTUS appointment for a year before the election even took place, I'm sure the Dems can figure out a way to muck up the explusion process for a few weeks.
