  • The Kennedy papers

Looks like today is the day... will President Trump go ahead and follow the 1992 law that says they have to publish the last of the remaining redacted and unreleased information from the Kennedy files in the National Archives? Will he allow some of the information (especially the info added to it in the early 90s pertaining to intelligence methods) to remain sealed? It's up to Trump - unless he says no, they have to release everything that they have left that hasn't previously been made public.

And the big question, at least to many people, is: Will there be any bombshells in the remaining documents?

Personally, I don't expect any bombshells.

I think it's a flip of the coin as to whether the POTUS will allow some info to remain classified and sealed. He's not the biggest fan of either the FBI or the CIA, and they are the two agencies who stand to be embarrassed by possible revelations (pertaining to what they might have missed in Mexico City, not so much collusion or involvement) - both agencies knew all about Oswald before 22 Nov. 1962 - he had defected to the USSR for crying out loud! Of COURSE they had thick files on him.

I think there might be some info in there about Oswald's trip to Mexico, info about intelligence gathering methods (which was added in the 90s and may be kept classified - with good reason) and some other historical info of note, but nothing showing that others were directly or indirectly involved in a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy.

    What do you think?

Oh, and if you happen to think the Kennedy assassination was a conspiracy, if this remaining information fails to support that theory, will it change your mind?

    Prediction:

Conclusion will be Oswald was the lone shooter with no evidence of a conspiracy.

Conspiracy theories will continue to abound.

This will be a tough decision for our fragile POTUS. He must weigh how much attention he would get in announcing the release vs. the amount of attention people will give JFK. Sad.

The only bombshells I would expect to find out about are of the blonde variety, given JFKs well-known proclivity for extracurricular activities.

Like Donald, I’ll wait to see what, if anything, Sean Hannity has to say about this document release before tweeting my official statement on the matter.

I hope Oswalds tax returns are in the files to be released. Also anything related to his time being taught Russian in the Marines.

I’m curious to hear if there’s more to info about his trip to Mexico City and who may have financed it. Not getting my hopes up for any revelations though, as I’m sure it will be heavily redacted.

redacted are the key docs regarding Ted Cruz's father's involvement.

Biggest news regarding the release: Trump has ordered some documents be held back for at least six months pending review.

Holy crap! What is Trump hiding? Was he paid off by Ted Cruz? Do the docs include links between the Illuminatti and the CIA?

There's possibly some new dirt on JFK in those files and the orange POS just wants to smear some more democrats.
tRump is NOT great, nor will history EVER say he was.

I'm almost positive they're worried about the later information that was added to the archive 25 years ago - the intel stuff. I can understand that to a degree, although withholding any of it just further fans the flames of the conspiracy theorists.

It's only a couple of hundred pages or so that's being redacted or withheld, I believe... but it doesn't take much redaction to make people question things. Heck, I really think there are going to be some who disbelieve whatever info is released and will remain convinced the CIA was involved, or Johnson, or the Mob, or the Russians, or...
