      The problem with daffy today is that they use white syrup or chinese honey

      Salt Water Taffy was always a special treat to get on the New Jersey shore boardwalks.when I was a kid in the 1960's. I believe it originated there. I hope some of those boardwalks, and taffy shops, are still surviving after Hurrricane Sandy.


      In almost every taffy shop I can remember from back then,  you could always see the salt water taffy being made fresh right there in front of you.

              Salt Water Taffy at Stuckey's on road trips in Texas...in the 60's....in big Buicks and Oldsmobile's....great memories.
