I hope they do,You are stocked up so why are you so angry?

Some weapons belong in the Military and Police Force and have no logical reason to be used by civilians.

Again I am not anti gun I own several,But I have no problem with regulation or registration.

Mossy: I think you have to break the law to wind up in prison.

Well.....maybe not. This is the United States, after all.

I love how the constitution fetishist seem to think they know exactly what the founders thought and wrote, and that their interpretations are more valid than anyone elses.

At least when it backs up their rights, but when it comes to others rights they ignore it.

        Much like the bible.

Just like the 1st I am smart enough to know it has its limitations.

They are both meaningless and moot in the court of law in many cases.

Buckethead: Apparently there's no limit to how much they may be infringed upon so long as the courts are ok with it.

Which means, of course, that we have no rights at all. We have privileges.

You'll pardon me for not being ok with that.

As long as you pardon me not being OK with the 2nd trumping the first....we have no disagreement.

But that's true of ALL our rights: any infringement is "legal" unless the courts say otherwise. SHOULD an @$$hole be free to cry "Fire!" in a crowded theater if there is no fire?

When your rights are what the government says they are, you have no rights.

      You have government granted privileges.

If you're ok with that, then may your chains rest lightly upon you.

Thats always what rights have been.

If you don't believe that, you're an idiot.

Go try and excercise your right to free speech in somalia.

Trainset: if they wish to amend the constitution, then they should do so. I seriously doubt 3/4 of the states will go along with it.

Trainset: that being said.....its a far cry from amending the constitution to a group of 465 men and women, or 9, determining the rights and liberties of a nation.

Booker: The people in Somalia have the freedom of speech too.

Unfortunately, their government doesn't respect their rights and the people are either unable or unwilling to do anything about it.

Hopefully that'll never happen here, but we've apparently learned little from Bush and his running roughshod over the Constitution in the names of keeping us "safe" from boogeymen.

wow just found the quote tag.

looks like many in our society don't care for the Constitution and want a newly interpreted one.
