    Don't worry. That's only doubled since 1980.

The trickle-down will begin any day now....

        Nah.  Not "take" anything.

Just make them pay a bit more to support the nation that gave them the opportunity to become so wealthy.

Seriously---you don't think there's a corelation between the amount of debt we've run up in the last 30 years and the increased wealth of the 1%.  Where do you think all those borrowed trillions have gone?  None of it is in my accumulated wealth.  I doubt any of it is in yours.  It certainly isn't in the 25% percent of Americans who have no-or-negative net worth.

Oh, but NO!  We can't ask THEM to pay the debt!  Even though THEY were the ones who benefited from it!   We must get it from the people who have nothing and got nothing from it.

        Give me a freakin'  break.

        Because taxes are theft?

Are you trying to be stupid or does it come natural to you?

I imagine the rationalizations in favor of the ownership class would be a little different if all of them were black.

How's that 'trickle down' economics worked out for you the last couple of decades, Hoddy?

Here's a safe bet.  If Rhat ever advises you to do anything, do the opposite.  This is a sure thing.

Actually it really hasnt.    The money supply has just grown,, and the buying power of a dollar has gone down.  A really fancy car cost 4 grand in the mid 70s ,, today they are 40 grand plus.    Money historically has doubled every 8 years when it was invested.   Today no so much so.  Other than a very small number of billionairs like gates and that bunch,,, most people you call rich may even be behind since 2008.

Yet they're paying 37% of the income tax.

Sounds like a lot of folks aren't paying their "fair share".

Assuming of course that income tax is anything more than legalized theft.....which it isn't.
