Hillary Clinton Exits With 69% Approval Rating

    By Patrick O'Connor

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leaves the post as an overwhelmingly popular figure on the national political stage.

An eye-popping 69% of Americans approve of the job she has done as the country

She should be at zero popularity. She was a Wal-Mart Board member - she was for destroying wages. She voted for the Iraq war - a horrible violation of human rights and standards of warfare. She was for bailing out Wall Street because it would supposedly help Main Street, which of course was a taxpayer handout to wealthy bankers...

If Americans had any brains, Hillary would be at zero percent popularity, along with Bush , Cheney and Obama.

What's that have to do with the job she did as Sec of State?

While there's probably a strong crop of GOP candidates who would LIKE to run in 2016, it's hard to see how they'll get through the self-destructive circular firing squad that is the current Republican primary season.  Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, Mark Daniels and Jon Huntsman could all have major appeal to the centrist, and centrist-right of the nation, none of them is going to find an easy and bloodless path to the nomination.

Had the GOP put up any of the other "finalists", like Santorum or Gingrich, Obama's 5 million vote margin would have been 15 million.  To win the GOP nomination is to lose the popular vote--and has been true in EVERY Presidential election since 1992 except 2004.

He was right about the black president. I think the country felt they could shed some of the guilt of the past if they elected a black president. Maybe people felt the world would finally accept us. He was not a better candidate than Hillary but WE DID THE RIGHT THING by electing him.

How many people have any idea whatsoever what she did or didn't do?

This might be more about our mainstream media's laziness than anything else.  It's a lot easier to take a poll than to go find out what she did for a living the last few years.

typical stupid markohism. He was reelected because more people thought he would do a better job than mitt Romney would.

That's why his re-election was more important than the first. It put an end to all that "people just voted for the black guy" and "it was all about Bush" nonsense.

And he was the most experienced and qualified candidate.

And if only the political and business and society "elites" picked the candidates, do you really think it would be any different? How do you think people like Clinton or Powell got to be where they are in the first place? The "morons" can only choose amongst the candidates presented to them.

Not only that, but how successful could any of them be at changing the basics of the system itself, which is the real problem.

If the society and business elites picked the candidates, we would be getting George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama...

But the "morons" shouldn't be happy about them. 69% approval for someone who voted to go to war in Iraq and voted for a Wall Street bailout, that never helped Main Street even slightly? 69% approval?
