Homeowner fells wanted criminal, The News-Star, Shawnee, Okla. 01/31/13

    Posted on February 1, 2013

Shortly after 4 a.m., a homeowner in McLoud, Okla. awakened to the sound of a burglar breaking into his house. The homeowner retrieved a gun and fired at the criminal, striking him once and causing him to flee. The home invader was captured by police a short time later while seeking treatment at a nearby hospital.

An investigation revealed that the criminal was already subject to a felony bench warrant for failing to appear in court for a case in which he was charged with three counts of possession of a stolen vehicle. (The News-Star, Shawnee, Okla. 01/31/13)

I love stories with happy endings!

A woman with a little extra weight will live longer than a man who mentions it.

      Damn guns.

If only Obama had acted sooner that home invader would still be alive.

Fair play, if someone breaks into your home they should be dealt with firmly

See now if that criminal didn't have a gun, he would have thought twice about going into someone's home, and hoddy wouldn't have anything to spam the forum with. Oh wait... he's still have coleman lanterns and disney. Dang... what a boring life he must lead.

That's true, but laws can't keep guns out of criminal's hands because criminals, by definition, do not obey laws.

He's compensating for his many failures in life as best he can, Moonie...pity the waste of protoplasm and consider how lucky you are that you're neither his wife or his daughter, and therefore are spared that embarrassment.

You're right. It doesn't say that in the article. So what was the guy carrying?

In most, if not all, states that would be attempted murder. As long as the perp is in your house you can blow the ****************er away. Even if he doesn't have a gun.

My answer to this dilema starts with an alarm system as seen below. Scares the **************** outa most burglars. Fortunately it hasn't been tested against a burglar, but they get a good evaluation whenever someone comes to the door001.JPG
