  • Why is Emperor Palpatine resigning?

Apparently this is the first time that a Sith Lord quit before dying since the 15th century.

Maybe he was starting to feel the police come close to him for helping his cronies cover up their mass rape of children.

Shut up Buddhist. That's none of your business.  You couldn't even point at Italy  on a map where only Italy is on.

Well call it whatever you like, but it is true that he covered up incidents of disgusting child rape. In a civilized discourse, someone like that would be arrested and punished by the law.

And instead he's probably going to retire to somewhere in Bavaria. This scumbag deserves to be prosecuted for his crime, and the Roman Catholic church should adjust its primitive backward practices (like the celebacy of the priests) in according to contemporary society. Or, it should be eliminated as an institutional once and for all, with its devout members being alienated to the backwaters of society.

The institution has been backwards and in denial of modern societal and scientific realities for several hundred years. Maybe he woke up, smelled the coffee, and decided it was time to throw in the trowel.
