  • Who is causing problems at the border?

    Americans or Mexicans?

Who are the drug smugglers running illicit contraband across the US-Mexico border? According to a new study of by the Center for Investigative Reporting, they're mostly Americans.

CIR combed arrest records surrounding over 80,000 drug seizures from 2005 to 2011 and found that a full 80 percent of the arrests in which there was data available involved at least one American citizen.

Despite this ratio, the report noted that the US Border Patrol's press releases trumpeted arrests of foreign suspects at a disproportionate rate -- 38 percent mentioned a Mexican citizen had been caught, while just 30 percent noted an American citizen was arrested. The rest did not mention their nationality.

      Ron Reagan. Immigrant amnesty.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA)

      In brief the act:

      • required employers to attest to their employees' immigration status.
      • made it illegal to knowingly hire or recruit unauthorized immigrants.
      • legalized certain seasonal agricultural illegal immigrants.
      • legalized illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously with the penalty of a fine, back taxes due, and admission of guilt. About three million illegal immigrants were granted legal status.

Signed into law by Ronald Raygunz.

link? And I wouldn't be surprised if it was Americans. The goody goody two shoe presentations doesn't always fit up to reality.

Regardless of their nationality, those involved in the drug trade are a vital part of the economy.

Blame it on agency funding. DEA, NSA, DHS, all fighting over the last crumbs.

The problem, is both, but mostly Mexicans.

Just like the gun violence problem in Mexico is their fault-not America's because they stole guns from here.
