  • US Navy's new Laser Weapon: Should private citizens have them?

If not, WHY not?  If the reason for having weapons is for the ability to arm a militia to enable the public to fight and hopefully defeat an evil federal government, shouldn't private citizens have all of the weapons that the US military has?....lasers, drones, atomic bombs......assault weapons.....?!?

Why does it frighten you so much that the ordinary citizenry have weapons?

A woman with a little extra weight will live longer than a man who mentions it.

You must have misread my post.  I'm asking why SHOULDN'T a private citizen have those weapons?

Wow, what a dumb question. (Mods - note that it is not an adhominem attack, it is an attack on the question itself.) That question subverts the topic - which is "what is the REASONABLE LIMIT on what weapons a citizen may own?" - by falsely making it an all or nothing proposition.

I think some call it 'reframing'.... Newt would be proud of you
