You must be. After all, you're being an alarmist, knee-jerking panic monger. Gubmint ain't coming to confiscate all your guns and ammo, and thereby leave you defenseless before the criminal hordes coming to subjugate you. It's just seeking a bit more accountability, and to scale back somewhat the easy capacity for mayhem.
These threads really ain't working for you. Mr.Spock would be raising an eyebrow every time you post. lol
"Your own limitations render you incapable of realizing that not everyone is as limited as yourself."
Chicken Little would overreact to reasonable proposals for gun control, believe its the first step to gun confiscation, and run out and buy as many AR-15s as he could get his hands on and go hide in his bunker to await to coming apocalypse.
All of the above issues have been and currently are being addressed. The idea that "gubmint" is just focusing on firearms is laughable at best.
SInce they obviously can't win the debate in the real world, they have to continually create fantasy scenarios where we have to choose between focusing attention on ONLY ONE issue in order to try and make a point.
Why, oh why did I click on this thread? Just another rehash by the OP of ANOTHER straw man thread he started, with a new, more offensive title. Bye! See ya in a smarter thread where REAL debate happens.
National Health Care to prevent/treat all those maladies is the obvious choice.
But we can't do that! Because, uhhh... COMMUNISM!!
Yesterday, NOS tried to go somewhere on one of these topics. He said something to the effect that the inner cities sustain more violence than elsewhere.
It bears noticing that the inner cities NOS mentioned are also the areas where healthcare is most needed, least available, and least able to be paid for by the recipient. Combine that with the right's blatant attempts to sustain the underground gun market - the sales chain that starts with redneck FFLs, sees guns by the dozen immediately go 'underground' and ends with shootings in the inner cities - and we begin to grasp the background reasoning for the rightwing policy set. And also for their memes.
