    How do licenses work versus Publisher royalties" and also I'm see "PRO" written on this forum a lot what does "PRO" stand for and what it all about? Thanks!

    This is all covered in the 'stickies'.
    short answer:
    PRO=Performing Rights Organization, such as ASCAP.
    Licenses are fees paid for the use of copyrighted materials.
    Publisher's Royalties are the % of the royalty payment that goes to the publisher of copyrighted music when recorded and distributed.
