Members ckoehler
I just wanted to post a blog and get a discussion start about music subscription service called Drip.FM. The service is in beta but while we wait to test drive it ourselves I figure maybe some of you have experience with music subscriptions models that you might want to share. Are music subscriptions working for you?Are they a good way to monetize? Are they Stupid?Anything else? What do you think? http://musicgoat.com/drip-fm-make-money-with-music-subscriptions
Moderators daddymack Posted July 12, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 12, 2012 I have heard a number of people suggest the concept of subscription services is the future of the Music business. It will take a generation or so for people to forget they used to get popular music provided 'free' over the airwaves...but, when one considers that cable and satellite television and radio are booming businesses (well, Direct may be going under now), although the idea that one will have to accept limits or pay for variety is anathema to the traditional American way of doing things, it seems to be gaining acceptance as successive generations adapt to the technological shifts the digital age has engendered..
