Members AndThinkOfTexas
I found this thing online earlier. What are your thoughts? http://global.dymo.com/enUS/DiscPainter/default.html Other than it being InkJet, what would the downside of this be? It looks pretty sharp to me. Thanks in advance! Members slight-return
not familiar with them at all - the first things that popped into my head were1) how's the durability? (or the image, not the printer)2) what kind of per-unit cost are we talking in terms of making discs?

Members BlueStrat
I'm trying to imagine printing 15 or 20 CDs with that thing and having to take all afternoon to do it. Pass.
Members richardmac
I have a good inkjet that can print on CD's and DVD's. I bought really good blank CD's that are basically glossy. When printed, they look pretty damn good. But it costs me the same amount to make my own CD's as to have discmakers run 100 copies. Easier to have them do it, plus they can do shrinkwrapping, which I can't. A shrinkwrapped product is perceived as looking more professional by most people. And I don't have the patience to make more than 2 by hand.

Members Phil Johnson
I tend to do my own since I do DVD/CD double packs and those cost more to have done for me. A friend of mine recently used Kunaki.com for her's though and she really likes the quality. Pretty cheap for a $1.75 ea.

Members petermichael
reason would tell me the VAST majority of musicians are not those getting hundreds of discs made at a time. I print and sell, and until I need to be sending out more than 10 discs a day, I'm cool with my inkjet.

Members petermichael
i like the epson artisan line. the 50 is nice simple and small, and around 110. the 710 is the one i use right now, an all in one with wifi, and it retails at 180. epson uses more ink than others i know, but other than that i am very happy. i have always avoided hp printers just personal preference, but they do make some cd/dvd printers as well. but most any will fill the square for you, and are invaluable if you need to make a disc and mail it out - today.
