why side of the stage are you on and why

My pedalboards are wired for stage right because when I joined Gwen's group the bass player was already on stage left (bass players like to be near the high hat).

My boys Eddie, Neil, and Ace were stage left so that's where I wanna be

but Alex L was stage right and he doesn't suck....

lets see, Angus was....ugh...I guess he doesn't count

I really have no answer for this that makes sense but some of you might,

Why are you on the side that you're on?

I prefer to be on whatever side of the stage the drummer's hi-hat is - so I'm usually on stage left (which is the right side, from the audience view). I like to be able to turn around and have the drummer sort of facing me so we can groove better (I play bass and sing, mostly).

In the band I do bass and the main vocals, I prefer stage right because on smaller stages I sort of feel like if I'm on the left I'm going to be wacking stuff off to the side of the stage with my headstock. Even if it's not likely to happen it's sort of a mental distraction.
