Members Potts
I've been gigging for years and not once have I ever brought a fan with me. It's 90 degrees today. I just purchased a fan and can't wait to plop it right under my mic stand tonight. Is there any gear that you should have purchased years ago and don't know why you never bothered? Members Leftcoast123
"You can't play blues in an air conditioned room". Ha! No kidding, sometimes it's the simplest stuff that makes you go "duh"? With that in mind I'd say it was those super cheap rubber Welcome mats at Home Depot for covering cables in hi-trip hazard areas where the public might get close to. Definetly low-pro but does the job.
Members CliffordN
If you sing through the fan, you get a sort of Leslie effect!
Members tim_7string
Velcro cable ties! I only started to discover their use about a year ago. Up to that point, I simply wrapped cables around my arm. They make organizing cables a lot more pleasant.
Members IsildursBane
Headphones. I had some several years ago, but they gotten stolen along with a bag full of other stuff. Since then, I've just been perpetually borrowing one pair or another. -Dan.

Members KeysBear
a flashlight would have been handy more than once. I've got at least six that use 2 AA's but they never seem to be in the gig bag when I need one.

Members rocket888
I put a Leatherman style tool in an inside pocket of every gig bag (2). This is in addition to a small toolkit already in one of the bags.

Members WynnD
I couple of circuit test tools. One for finding out what outlets are on the same circuit. Another to find out if there are wiring problems. (Bad ground or incorrectly wired hot line.) By the way, what do you guys do in a place with wiring that is just plain wrong? Cancel the gig? Refuse to fire up until an electrician comes to fix it? One of the places is a casino that's less then 10 years old. (Bad ground.)

Definetly low-pro but does the job. Years ago I worked in a huge office and grabbed a couple of the super duty ones that were for hallways and high traffic areas. They're a Godsend when it snows too. Members dan88z
I have a solar powered keychain led flashlight someone gave me. It's come in handy on many occasions. In the suitcase I use for my pedals and cables, a fan takes up half the space. One of those small black ones. My drummer has a killer fan, one of these:http://www.lowes.com/pd_153139-24099-4914_4294856700__?productId=3262295&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1The power outlets on it are handy and it pumps some air. Everyone in my band has a fan on stage.

Members FitchFY
Ha! When I saw this post, I immediately thought of my band mates who always gripe about not having a fan. I bought a little Honeywell jobby for $12 bucks two years ago, and the thing is awesome for cooling me down. I'd have to say "flashlight" is what's missing from my rig.
