Bad timing!

It figures that just as I approach the launch of my soul/ funk/ pop cover band, Souldiers, I get a text message from a very close friend that his rather lucrative rock/ pop/ dance cover band is 7/8 of the way into firing their drummer, and they all want to ask me to take the gig.

This figures. :)

They gig 2-3 times a month (closer to 2), and the money is good, and I could use it. I'm also very good friends with 2 of them, really like the 3rd, and don't really know the 4th. We've jammed together before, I know most of their set list and how they operate, and I know what I bring to the table as a drummer will allow them to step up their game a good chunk.

The music is also far different from my other projects, so I'm thinking I may return to being a 3-band drum whore again if I get this offer!

But it FIGURES... just when I was on the crest of launching the new one... the life of a gigging musician is never without calamity. :smileyvery-happy:
