Members FitchFY Posted July 17, 2013 Members Share Posted July 17, 2013 I LOVE a good-looking mic stand. Everything from local bands to Jonathan Davis from Korn's H.R. Gieger-designed rig is cool. It's a chance to customize your performance that much more.A friend of mine is a mechanic, so he took a cheap mic stand, replaced the base of it with a used brake rotor, and welded chain to the stand around it. The thing weighs like 30 pounds, but it's A) awesome looking, B) very fitting of the bands, and C) insanely stable for the singer to jump around on.
