Members mstreck
Wow. A friend of ours got shot Thursday night, a reckless motorcyclist hit our guitar player's car and tore off the rear car bumper on his way to our gig on Saturday, and now this. Things are not going well for my circle of friends.
Members Kramerguy
Times are tighter right now than ever before in my life.. music instruments are potential gold mines for would-be thiefs.. Keeping that in mind would be a good idea for us all.I don't mean this to sound snarky or emulate hindsight smuggery, but just as a reminder to myself and anyone who gigs - that the threat is as great as it ever has been these days. He probably already knows he should alert the pawn shops immediately..
Members roamingbard13
Keep a look out on eBay and craigslist. The bass player in our band had his $1600 Warwick bass smashed and grabbed outside a venue a few years back. He filed the police report and figured he'd never see it again. His brother-in-law found it on eBay 2 weeks later -- he had pictures to match. Come to find out some crack head sold it to a pawn shop for $35. They were trying to sell it for $800. He eventually got it back.
