Members wro
i am thinking about getting someone to produce my next release. I have been looking into those online free-lance platforms like upwork. Any experience ? I would record myself at home as usual and receive feedback and coaching from the producer on how to make my songs better. Everything remotely via soundcloud and stuff. Phil O'Keefe
I've never tried producing remotely. I think I'd miss the immediacy of being there while the tracks were being laid down. It seems to me it would be far less efficient and you'd spend more studio time (and more on session musicians) by not being able to say "yea or nay" on the spot, and provide input in real time... I'm not saying it couldn't be done, or that you couldn't make a good record that way, but there would definitely be challenges to that approach IMO. Members 1001gear
Sounds like a better deal for "budding" producers; hit or miss for budding artists.
