I'll want to check out the Motown Studio and drive by some of the collapsed auto industry rubble but what else is there to do? Can we cross over into Canada without a passport? If you're a sports fan - an afternoon Tigers game at Comerica Park can be a lot of fun (lots of good eating and drinking to be done around the park ...). If you like being outdoors - a trip to Belle Isle might be up your ally. If night life is your thing ... there are three casinos in the downtown area. If you expand your definition of Detroit to include the suburbs ... a trip to Royal Oak (even if just for the people watching!) can be enjoyable. The Detroit Institute of Arts, the Detroit Historical Museum and the Detroit Science Center are a cluster of cultural things to do/see that are all within a stone's throw of each other. A trip to Canada will require either a passport or an "enhanced" driver's license if you plan on coming back. My "Superstars Of Rock" act will be playing at the Limelight on Saturday, May 9th. The Limelight is in Warren (a north central suburb) - right across the street from the GM Tech Center (General Motors' HUGE campus). Here's a link to the Limelight's web site ... Don't let the site's comment about "Live DJ on Saturday Night" throw you off ... we're the only band that plays the place. The 9th should be a good night - it's a send off for our bass player who's about to move to Tennessee.
