Members breed50
I am in the process of forming a cover band that will cover a wide variety of music. Pop, rock, 80s, some 90s, and a good bit of newer country songs. We will be playing in saloon type venue that is more or less a country music venue. Some of the country songs that we picked are 67, 80, 90, 100 BPMs. We want to keep the setlist danceable. Country covers are new to me. I am concerned that this is too slow to keep people dancing or otherwise interested in the band. My question is can you get away with these lower BPMs with country music? If no, is speeding them up an option? Or is going from 80 BPMs to a danceable BPM too much of a jump? What is a good dance BPM? Thanks
Members StratGuy22
I posted a bunch of country songs we do. Check them out for tempo. Think of people 2 stepping.
