Members Vito Corleone
If someone gives up live gigging because they didn't get that record deal, I'm not going to argue with them if that's the reason they were doing live gigs. We all do what we do for different reasons. For me, I'm addicted to the adrenaline rush of being on stage and playing for an enthusiastic crowd. For me, it's better than drugs. And so I go on stage to get my "fix". And I seek out gigs that best give me that fix. And I like the fact that I can earn some extra cash by playing live. But mostly it's the "fix" I get. Others have different motivations for live gigging. They love to jam with other players and need a bit of the audience infusion with that. Some have original music they feel a need to try and connect it with other people. But for some it's just part of advancing a certain career, and if that career proves to be a dead end, then they have no reason to gig any longer. Nothing wrong with either, for them.
