Everything looks better through a fish-eye lens....

It takes a little longer to set up as the cans have to be stored and hung separately rather than kept on the t-bar as they were before. It would be nice to keep them attached to the trusses but we don't really have the room in the trailer to carry them that way without risking damage.

Also, at 8 ft tall, they are just barely tall enough. So we built wooden boxes to stand them on when there isn't the room to put them on the stage. They are on the boxes in this vid. We use the boxes to store random crap so they don't really take up any extra room in the trailer, but they are two more pieces to carry around. Extension truss pieces would have been another option.

but we think it is all worth it because we like the look of them so much more than the old trees. Just so much more slick, pro and "tech" looking. A big upgrade in the appearance of the stage. Which, as you know, at a wedding people might be looking at for hours before the band goes on.

It's "Thats Not My Name" by The Ting-Tings. A hit in 2008, so it's a bit past it's expiration date for the most part but still too new to be a classic. We still get some good mileage out of it by doing it right after "Mickey" (which is huge for us) but isnt on that clip. Drunk chicks still like the tune. But you hear how we tie them both back together later after the "My Sharona" bit. Stuff like that is fun for us, and the crowds dig it. Hardly a night goes by that we don't get a few coming up and complimenting us on our arrangements, so that's all good.
