Against my other guitarist Mesa 50/50, Mesa is more like the power amp in a head unit, dirtier the more you push it, colors the sound more than the Carvin. Worked great with a voodo valve,mp1 and ump. I liked the Carvin better even though the Mesa sounds good and seems to have more head room. Peaveys are good too.
