Yes, I have heard of them. yes, I have seen them (in a music store, forget which one). I wasn't all that impressed. As with any 8-bit DJ level scanner, the movement is kinda shaky when it's moving slow, which you really don't want. Better slow movement can either be accomplished by a speed channel or by 16 bit movement.

 

Let me run down the reasons why they suck compared to the SCX700s.

 

-Halogen source, not arc source

-No movement macros

-No speed channel

-Gobos not replaceable

-No extra gobos included with fixture

-No dimming capabilities

-No speed channel

-One less gobo wheel slot

-No individual music triggering of parameters

-Martin's optics are much better

-It's an American DJ product. ADJ has an inherently larger suck factor than Martin. And a lower reliability rate.

You are right SL,No comparison to The Martins.I love the SCX700s
