Members Chaff67
Most likely in April my church will be moving. We currently rent a hall for our services. The new place will be big enough to hold our services. One of the things we will be needing is lighting for the band. I currently own a couple colorstrips, some par cans, 6 small strobes, 2 moonflowers w/moving heads (non-DMX), 700 watt smoke machine and 3 light trees. I probably won't use most of this as I think a flashy show for a church service would not work well. Has anyone here done anything like this before? Would static colors be more apropriate than chases? And if so, any color schemes that would look good in this setting? I'm not sure what our budget is yet, but I would like to keep it within $1k including what I already have. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Members BillESC
I should think the Colorstrips for back or side lighting washes and the pars for performer spots would be all you want to do.
Members Chaff67
I was thinking that too. Any color scheme selections for front lighting? I have some bastard amber gels. I was thinking maybe pink and blue to go with it?
Members BillESC
Bastard amber should be the foundation, pinks and light blues can be added.
