It was a blast. But the smoke machine died. I don't know what happened, it was working, then I turned it off when I went home and changed. After that it would power up but no smoke. Chauvet Hurricane 1800 Flex.

-sigh-

The fluid tank lights up red when it's not ready, and then blue when it's ready to go. It wouldn't light up blue for the rest of the night. I'll see if I can exchange it on the 6th, when I go back to the city. So I was bummed about that. The lights worked great though. I had about 45 different scenes, and I just changed then with the FCB1010 which worked out great.

We had a lot of fun, today is tear down so it will take some doing. My new light box/roadcase didn't arrive yet so I'm using my old light box and it's kind of a PITA. With the new one I'll make dividers for everything. But I'll make do for now.

Looks good. It looks like you have about a 10 feet of truss. My only suggestion would be to get about 5 feet more of truss (if feasible) to spread those scanners out a little bit. Keep the moving pins in tight like you have them. Also a hazer might perform a little better than the smoke machine. If you stick with the smoke machine a couple of fans can help spread it out a bit. Looks really good. I really like those moving pins. I considered buying about 6 of them when they were on clearance a few months ago.

Good ideas!!

I do have another 10' section. Normally we run 20' of truss, but the stage was only 18' wide. I have a line in another 10' section that I can cut in half. That will give me the option of 10' 15' or 20' to work with. I really like the pins as well. They are a one trick pony, but what they do they do well.

The smoke in the video from the stage setup is literally 2 quick puffs. The smoke machine can put out 25,000 cubic feet per minute, with the DMX control it's pretty easy to fill the place with a decent amount, and to bump it up now and then.

I'm thinking of maybe 4 more 3NX's and 4 more pins to fill out the 15' or 20' truss sometime in the future. I was pretty happy with th setup as it is now, just with more smoke.
